We vs a Big Three
Fox (Newscorp), CBS (Viacom), and NBC (General Electric) are going to fight media regulation all the way to the supreme court.
The most current deregulatory effort was a mess until many organizations, including HOPE, informed the public about the potential influence the new rules would have on their media. What came next was an unprecedented protest where the FCC received about 2 million letters.
The administration was willing to back down, but three of the potential losers are not. They've stated they'll fight to the supreme court for their "rights". Like their right to produce a television show, air it on their network, review it in their local newspapers, and then syndicate it on one of their many other stations.
